School isn’t even back in session in Loudoun County and we’re exhausted just thinking about it. It’s important to stay organized and simplify wherever and whenever possible. Here is a little life hack to keep you on track this year.
Do you get tired of packing lunches every morning? Us, too. But good news, Tasty has done it again! They’ve shared a life hack for organizing your fridge so your family can pack their own lunches. First, acquire 3-4 clear, plastic bins. Then, clear space in your refrigerator and allot time each Sunday for minimal prep, and voilà!
Monday morning, your kids grab their lunch boxes, open the fridge and pick 1-2 items from each bin. Saves you time and gives the kids a custom lunch they’re in the mood for each day. Check out below for Tasty Junior’s sample menu and watch the video ‘cause…Tasty.
Lunch Container #1: Turkey cheddar and ham cheddar sandwiches on rolls with mayo and mustard packets. String cheese and baggies of sliced veggies.
Lunch Container #2: Sliced apples, sliced strawberries, sliced cantaloupe and fruit cups.
Snack Container: Squares of cheddar, crackers and lunch meat. Fruit cups, clementine’s and string cheese.
Drinks & Yogurt Container: Bet you can’t guess what’s in here? Juice boxes and yogurt cups.
And, it’s not just for kids. I’m not going to lie. I don’t even have kids and I want to introduce this hack into my daily routine. I spend 10-30 minutes each morning making my meals for the day—yes, I’m that person with a grocery bag full of food and drinks. Every. Single. Day. Whether it’s: a smoothie, salad, apple and nut butter, avocado toast, hummus, leftovers, water, coffee or kombucha. I can only imagine the peace of mind knowing I can take an extra 20 minutes to snuggle my dog…uh, I mean trying to figure out what to wear. Thanks, Tasty!
